Open the IDE running on your own machine

The Web IDE is not hosted here. It is served by a Genexy IDE you are already running somewhere else: your desktop at the office, a build machine, a laptop at home. Enter its address and the interface is downloaded from that machine and driven over gRPC, so what you see always matches the version installed there.

You need a remote IDE to connect to

  1. Genexy IDE must be running on the other machine (desktop app, Windows / macOS / Linux).
  2. In that IDE, open Settings → Remote access, set a password and enable it. The default port is 37543.
  3. This browser has to reach that address: same network or a forwarded port, with the firewall allowing it.
  4. The first connection shows a certificate warning. The host generates its own certificate, so compare the fingerprint with the one in its Remote access settings, then continue.

IP address or hostname. A pasted host:port is split automatically.

The IDE opens in a new tab on that machine's own address. You will be asked for the remote access password there, not here. It is checked by the host and never reaches Genexy.
